About SWFLCIS
The Southwest Florida Cardiovascular Imaging Symposium (SWFLCIS) is a nationally recognized, physician-led conference dedicated to advancing the science and clinical practice of cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, and multimodality cardiovascular imaging.
Now in its 3rd year, SWFLCIS brings together the nation’s leading cardiac imagers, cardiologists, radiologists, advanced practitioners, and industry innovators for a day of cutting-edge CME education, interactive panel discussions, hands-on workshops and peer networking.
This symposium provides a detailed understanding of advanced imaging applications across cardiovascular specialties with a focused lens on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and emerging technologies in cardiac CT and MRI.
Board-certified cardiologist and advanced cardiovascular imager based in Southwest Florida. His vision to create a world-class regional symposium brought SWFLCIS to life, bridging the gap between national imaging expertise and Florida’s growing cardiovascular community.
Cardiovascular imaging specialist with over 20 years of experience whose clinical expertise and academic leadership have shaped SWFLCIS into a nationally competitive CME event. Dr. Thompson oversees curriculum development, ensuring every session delivers practical, actionable insights, and remains deeply committed to giving back to the imaging community.
